Education & Community Service

After graduating from DeRidder High School, I began the groundwork of my law enforcement career by obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Sociology from Louisiana State University. My training includes the Institute of Police Technology and Management Criminal Patrol Drug Enforcement, Department of Public Safety Chemical Testing for Intoxication, POST Council Managing the Use of Force, Louisiana Sales Tax Training and Justice Planning & Management Associates Grant-Writing course.

I am an executive board member of the Southwest District Law Enforcement Planning Council, a member of the Louisiana Sheriff's Association, Beauregard and Louisiana Cattlemen's Associations, and a member of the Louisiana Association of Tax Administrators.

I'm also a member and past president of the DeRidder Kiwanis Club and a volunteer for United Way and past member of the advisory council for Project Head Start.
