After graduating from DeRidder High School, I began the groundwork of my
law enforcement career by obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal
Justice and a minor in Sociology from Louisiana State University. My
training includes the Institute of Police Technology and Management Criminal
Patrol Drug Enforcement, Department of Public Safety Chemical Testing for
Intoxication, POST Council Managing the Use of Force, Louisiana Sales Tax
Training and Justice Planning & Management Associates Grant-Writing course.
I am an executive board member of the Southwest District Law Enforcement
Planning Council, a member of the Louisiana Sheriff's Association, Beauregard and Louisiana Cattlemen's Associations, and a member of the
Louisiana Association of Tax Administrators.
I'm also a member and past president of the DeRidder Kiwanis Club and a
volunteer for United Way and past member of the advisory council for Project
Head Start.
